Julie A. Kenfield, Ph.D

Julie Kenfield

Licensed Psychologist
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I have worked as a psychologist in private practice since 1988, having previously worked in various mental health and rehabilitation settings. I have also been an educator and trainer. I carry dual licensure as both a psychologist and a marriage and family therapist, which speaks to my work with individuals, couples and families.

I have a broad-based practice that includes such things as depression, anxiety, family of origin and relationship issues. My work also often entails working with trauma-based issues and life factors that block people from living as fully as they would like. I tend to work from an insight-based and relational perspective. I am EMDR-certified and may use this to facilitate the growth process.

In addition to my clinical practice, I also conduct the MySky Program, a program for people who are afraid to fly. Initially the WINGS program operated by NW Airlines (1996-2007), it is now the MySky program, operated by Ruth Markowitz, MA, LP and me.   This program is an inspiration to conduct as it provides the unique opportunity to see people's lives change over the course of a weekend.  For additional information on this program, please visit:  www.myskyprogram.com.
